Titleist GT3 offers control, fast ball speeds and low spin count – ideal for skilled golfers who want to maximise distance. The higher face helps distinguish the GT3 from the GT2, a profile preferred by many players who like to hit the ball with their fairway metal and prefer the look with a deeper face.

Description

The ultra-light Seamless Thermoform crown on the GT2 and GT3 is made from the new Proprietary Matrix Polymer, the same material used in GT drivers. This material is about five times lighter than steel, giving Titleist engineers significant weight savings compared to previous-generation fairway crowns, while retaining Titleist’s classic sound and feel. The crown is also completely seamless, providing an appealing look at address without compromising on performance gains from the GT multi-material construction. To meet different centre of gravity goals between the models, the GT2 uses more Proprietary Matrix Polymer than the GT3. Unlike the GT2, the GT3 features a SureFit Adjustable CG Track System, which allows you to position the sliding weight in a track to tailor the ball flight.
Low centre of gravity (Low CG), The additional mass obtained from the lightweight Seamless Thermoform crown has allowed Titleist engineers to reposition the centre of gravity in each model to achieve optimal performance. The GT2 has a lower and more forward-orientated centre of gravity, giving a higher launch angle and less spin than its predecessor TSR2. The GT3 centre of gravity is moved deeper to produce a higher launch angle while keeping spin at a low but playable level.
Forged L-Cup Face , The face on GT fairway woods is specifically designed to improve performance on impacts that are low on the face. A new insert envelops the bottom of the club to maintain ball speed, reduce excessive spin and improve sound and feel.
Tour Inspired Shaping, The GT2 and GT3 fairway woods have undergone refinements to their shape. The engineers at Titleist have flattened the sole’s curvature from heel to toe on both models, which makes the head appear to sit lower. Strikes on the toe and heel now also make contact higher on the face, which increases forgiveness. Based on feedback from Tour players, the GT3 has a higher face, differentiating the two models and satisfying a wider range of player preferences.
