With detailed feedback after testing with Rory McIlroy and Collin Morikawa, the P7MB has a shorter blade length, a completely new geometry on the sole and a progressive offset that gives a minimalist profile designed for control over spin and trajectory. The sole of the P7MB is one millimetre narrower than its predecessor, which means that TaylorMade’s engineers needed to increase the bounce slightly, in turn giving a completely new feel in contact with the ground. The sole’s total effective bounce is a combination of sole width and bounce angle, which engineers have been able to perfect by increasing the bounce angle so that the sole doesn’t get stuck in the ground. P7MB is a seamless combination of traditional muscle back performance with a modern look and design. Like P7MC, P7MB is also forged with Compact Grain Forging and both face and grooves are precision milled.
Faceted Muscle Back Geometry, A seamless blend of traditional iron performance in muscle back with a modern look and design. The updated back now uses symmetrical geometry to create a timeless look with a performance to match appearances, both at address and in the bag.
Compact Grain Forging, 1025 carbon steel is forged five times with a 2,000-tonne press designed to produce a denser, more compact grain structure with fewer defects. It is designed to give you the most solid and consistent feeling possible.
Machined Face and Grooves, Precision is paramount. Treating the face ensures precision and quality with TaylorMade’s most aggressive groove geometry for precise control.
