Description
ZXiR HL is based on the same patented technologies as other Srixon irons, but with a design and specifications adapted to produce a higher ball start. The High Launch (HL) concept means that loft and construction are optimised to help players who need more height for longer carry and more reliable stops on the green.
The club is cast in i-Alloy, a new and softer steel that produces the famous Srixon feel at impact. Mainframe technology on the back of the face maximises COR for higher ball speed even on hits outside the sweet spot. The patented Tour VT sole, with its V shape, allows the head to slide through the grass more cleanly so the club loses less speed and is impacted less by the surface. Together, this creates a club that combines an easy ball start, stable performance and a soft, responsive feel.
Tour VT Sole, For the first time ever, Srixon has included its popular Tour VT sole on all ZXi Utilities, along with a bevel on the front edge. This unique combination of sole thickness, bounce angles and profile is designed to provide an effective glide through the grass without losing speed.
Progressive Grooves, The grooves are optimised for each individual club. In the longer irons, the distance between the grooves is greater to create optimal launch and in the short irons, the laser-milled grooves are closer together and produce spin and stop control.
