Description
The HL version uses a lighter 28 g rear weight that can be set to Neutral, Draw or Fade to help you shape your shots. Despite the lower weight, the construction still gives Ping's highest MOI in an adjustable driver and is 4 g heavier than the weight in the G430 MAX 10K, which contributes to a low and deep centre of gravity and stable ball speed across the entire face from the fast T9S+ face.
Dual Carbonfly Wrap in both crown and sole, together with Free-Hosel technology, saves weight from several parts of the club head. This weight is then placed along the outer edge to provide even greater stability and facilitate an easy-to-wield total build for players who need help generating speed. Free Hosel also reduces mass in the heel area and increases flex in the face there, which helps maintain speed on hits outside the sweet spot.
A composite bridge in the crown and acoustic “ribs” in the sole and crown contribute to a more muted and solid sound at impact. The G440 K HL also has Ping’s largest head profile front-to-back and a strong but lightweight Ti 811 chassis that provides stability without weighing down the overall weight – perfect for players who want an easy-to-use and forgiving option.
CarbonFly Wrap Crown, Common to all three models (Max, LST, SFT) is the CarbonFly Wrap crown, which saves weight. The redistributed weight helps lower the centre of gravity (CG), ensures forgiveness and contributes to a more subdued and satisfying sound at impact.
Hotter, Thinner Face, The lower height of the face means the face can be thinner and more responsive, producing higher ball speeds and better consistency across the entire face, including the upper part of the heel.
Free-Hosel Technology, Weight removed from part of the hosel has been redistributed to lower mass and create Ping’s deepest centre of gravity to date. This brings the centre of gravity closer to the power line, giving higher ball speed, optimal spin and higher launch for longer and straighter shots.
