Description
The G440 K is based on a heavier and brand new 32 g adjustable rear weight that can be set to Neutral, Draw or Fade to shape the shot according to your game. The extra weight – 4 g more than in the G430 MAX 10K – has been moved towards the outside edge of the head, increasing the MOI value and lowering the centre of gravity for greater stability and more speed from the fast T9S+ face.
With Dual Carbonfly Wrap in both crown and sole and Free-Hosel technology, weight is saved from several areas of the head. This weight is then placed on the periphery for optimal lower and deeper CG and thus more forgiveness. Free Hosel also contributes to increased flex in the heel area to maintain ball speed even on contacts outside the sweet spot.
A composite bridge in the crown and acoustic “ribs” in the sole and crown enhance the construction and dampen unwanted vibrations. The result is a more muted, solid and powerful sound at impact. The G440 K also features a large and extended club head and is built with a light and strong Ti 811 chassis for stable performance.
CarbonFly Wrap Crown, Common to all three models (Max, LST, SFT) is the CarbonFly Wrap crown, which saves weight. The redistributed weight helps lower the centre of gravity (CG), ensures forgiveness and contributes to a more subdued and satisfying sound at impact.
Hotter, Thinner Face, The lower height of the face means the face can be thinner and more responsive, producing higher ball speeds and better consistency across the entire face, including the upper part of the heel.
Free-Hosel Technology, Weight removed from part of the hosel has been redistributed to lower mass and create Ping’s deepest centre of gravity to date. This brings the centre of gravity closer to the power line, giving higher ball speed, optimal spin and higher launch for longer and straighter shots.
