Description
Like the other L.A.B. models, the OZ.1i HS is 100% Lie Angle Balanced, providing a natural square putting stroke without having to compensate with your wrists. The design has been reworked from the ground up to maintain the same stability and forgiveness as the original OZ.1i.
The club head is milled from one piece of aluminium and has a clean, compact shape without the “teeth” that are often seen on other mallet putters. A new insert fine-tunes sound and feel to suit a wide range of golfers. The standard design comes with 69° lie and 2° shaft tilt, which together with the reclining Press Pistol 2° grip places your hands straight across the face for consistent ball start.
With its modern silhouette, premium details and tour-inspired feel, the OZ.1i HS is ideal for players who want the classic heel-shafted look – without compromising on performance.
Lie Angle Balanced, L.A.B Golf stands for “Lie Angle Balanced”, and this is where the Zero Torque concept originated. The idea behind L.A.B was to create a putter that stays square throughout your putting stroke. The centre of gravity of the putter is balanced in a way that puts it precisely in the middle of the head, no matter how you hold it.
Press grip, The L.A.B Golf patented Press Grip is available in different versions, with 1.5, 2 and 3 degree built-in lean. This is to create a natural setup when using a putter with shaft lean. This way, you can address the ball in a natural way, despite the built-in shaft lean.
Shaft lean, By having an already built-in shaft lean in the putter, it is easier to hit the ball. When you hit the ball during putting, the ball starts rolling forward earlier, leading to more consistent distance control out on the greens.
